Hello.  Welcome to our website and blog: www.myafricantravels.com.  We are Gene and Leroy Little. (Gene is a female whose mother did not know how to spell so don't let the spelling confuse you. We often get mail addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Gene Little.  Our friends get confused, too.)

We went to live and work in Burundi, Africa before Leroy was 21.  He can almost say he grew up there. We had five sons, all born in Africa.  Unfortunately Bruce and Gerald left us too soon but  we have three sons remaining--Kerry, Glenn and Eldon.  We have nine grandchildren and five great-grand ones.

If you follow our blog you will be introduced to the family and get to know us very well. We hope that you will introduce yourself and become our blogging friends.

Thank you for the website! How well I remember Radio CORDAC in the 1970's when I was a youngster enrolled at Wesley College! God used the stories of your missions work there, some shared to me by Jimmy Stinson and some by Dr. Walter Bruce. Those stories inspired and challenged me to do the work God had called me to do in radio broadcasting, in spite of the confusion around me concerning "Christian Radio Broadcasting."
Some people in the 1970's were not in favor of a young minister of the Gospel spending his life and ministry career doing "Christian Radio." I was often misunderstood, and accused of allowing my ego to rule my thought process. More often, I was told that I should "put my ego under the blood."
But, when I heard how God was using Radio CORDAC, it emboldened me to follow God's leading, in spite of the torrent of opposition to the idea. Thank God for your ministry!
When I was young, I thought that someday God might call me to build a radio station in Africa...but He chose to use me in the USA instead. But, wherever He wants me, that is the place for me. And, I'd be willing to travel the world, if that is what He called me to do.
May God richly bless you, LeRoy and Gene.
